January 1999 Air Quality Report


Pollutant dispersion varied from good to poor during January and included two periods of stagnant days, the 1st through 6th, and the 24th through 26th. Precipitation was above normal again in western Washington, with SeaTac airport receiving 127% of normal rainfall for January. The three month period, November through January, is the wettest on record at SeaTac airport. The airport average monthly temperature of 42.1 degrees F was 2.0 degrees above normal for January with a maximum temperature of 53° F on the 10th and a minimum temperature of 30° F on the 3rd and 24th.
